AKS-74U mutt project. Russian, Bulgarian, Romanian and some Maadi parts. Still gotta get around to final paint on it. Test fired, seems GTG. I have a nice set of wood handgaurds for it somewhere. 7.62x39mm

Milled early M72 Kit build on ORF receiver. Needs paint and finishing touches. Was a early threaded type receiver kit, turned down to 23mm for press and pin. Original barrel in surprisingly good shape. Custom clubfoot stock, PSL muzzle brake. She's a heavy girl;
Acquired this Inter Ordnance from Palm Bay built AK in a trade recently. Heard some bad things about some of their internal parts but this one has had the BCG replaced with Romanian parts. So far it shoots just fine. Nuttin fancy, just your basic no frills AK.
It's not just the BCGs that are wrong with those, it's that their trunions are cast and improperly heat treated. You should keep a very close eye on the internals for signs of mushrooming or cracking every time you use it. There's a reason Robski made a joke about wearing an EOD suit when he tested an IO AK.gforester wrote: ↑Wed Jul 25, 2018 4:39 pm Acquired this Inter Ordnance from Palm Bay built AK in a trade recently. Thanks for the heads up Skoll. I have another one in Florida, a Romanian WASR 10 from CAI and it has never let me down. I may end up just selling this one as I see no need in having two AK's.

I once thought having one AK would be cool. Then I got another so it wouldn't be lonely. Then they just started reproducing on their own, Now I got a litter of them
Yeah the IO trunnions are iffy. I've seen them shear bolt lugs off in pictures. Scary stuff. I got one out in the workshop, figured It may be OK for a pistol caliber AK build down the road.
You're welcome. If you sell the IO just keep that gorgeous red furniture you have on it right now. I also have a heavily modified Wasr and it's by far my favorite rifle. I want more AKs but I'm also of the opinion that Wasr is good.
I know you know your shit but please be careful when handling bombs.NorincoKid wrote: ↑Wed Jul 25, 2018 9:28 pmI once thought having one AK would be cool. Then I got another so it wouldn't be lonely. Then they just started reproducing on their own, Now I got a litter of them
