Very true. For many folks, me included, as a younger person I had to sell a gun to buy a gun - cash was hard to come by.
What was your first revolver?

The rifle is a pre-war model 70. None of the 4 firearms are going anywhereneverenoughguns wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 2:09 pmOld post but that is a super cool story about the revolver. Hang onto that one!avmech wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 2:24 am First revolver was/is an early 1950s Smith K22 Masterpiece my dad bought new and gave me in the early 1970s. Was reblued in approx 1963 as it had some rust on it. He left Cuba in late 1960 about 6 months after we did on a self built sailboat and was able to smuggle out his 4 firearms. The other firearms (rifle, shotgun, another handgun) all survived with no problems, but this one started rusting. Still shoots great though!
I found an excellent gun control law we should all follow. It's called the Second Amendment.
Mine was a early Ruger Security Six in blue steel.

I just came on this post and figured since nothing is going on I would join in.
My first wheel gun was a 6 inch Colt Diamond Back (38 Special). Since I found I loved that thing so much I followed it with a purchase about 2 months later of a 4 inch Colt Python. I had to get the Python because the Diamond Back was "only" in 38 and I just had to have "more". Both of those were in 1983. Held on to both of them until the mid 90s and stupidly sold them both...To think what I would have if I held on to them....Sighhhhhhhh
