First responders sound off thread

Post by Deputydave »

I'll start off. Been a Deputy for just over 27 years now. In addition to normal duties I've been a Firearms and Defensive Tactics instructor for just over 22 years. Several specialty instructor certifications including PCR (Physical Conflict Resolution which is a short way of saying Aikijujutsu and Systema), SPEAR, Boatman Edged Weapon Defense, Israeli Instinctive Shooting and Israeli Hisardut Defensive Tactics.

Current duty weapon is the Glock 21.3 and off duty is a Glock 26.4. Both loaded with the Gold Dot.

Who else is a first responder here?

11 years here in LE.

Started off as a reserve Got picked up full time shortly afte. Have worked the gamut between pushing a marked unit in uniform patrol, working IA, working corrections, doing protective and dignitary protection, and now I ride a desk pushing paper and investigating financial cirmes.
