I guess I have been watching too many movies and shows from the prohibition era lately.... I picked up this Remington Model 11 early this year for just over $100. It started as a 30 inch barrel and all of the metal is now a nice brown patina. Serial number puts it made in 1929. Chopped the barrel to 18 inches and took several inches off the stock for a total overall length of 32 inches now. Relocated and trimmed down the buttplate to finish it off. I have read about how Clyde barrow fashioned some sort of leather sling so it would hang off his shoulder under a coat but have not found pics of that to duplicate yet.
Thoughts on spending the $200 and sbs it? I can take another 5 inches off safely

I like the look... I had never thunked this question of the Clyde Whippet sling.. and I thought it would be easy to turn a photo. But I can not find one.
I will keep looking. But the only shot gun in the day that you can see as a whippet under Clydes ownership is does not have a visible sling.

Thanks.. I realized looking at some of these pics that I need a colt detective special snubnose and a Colt 1911 ad well to go with the shotgun!
The sling looks like a simple leather belt attached to the stock ... hmmm gotta raid the closet and see what I have!
Oh come on man. lets not overlook the Elephant in the room.. You need a BAR also.. Maybe 1st
